The grass track at The Boswells School has only been used recently for grass track racing. The British Cycling website gives details of the grass track racing event for 2025 "A new grass track event is taking place in Chelmsford, on a 400m track. The meet includes the open National 8km Championship and the short distance and endurance series. Also including youth grass track and freewheeler events for those without track bikes. The venue has parking facilities, toilets and changing rooms."
